Akshay Kumar’s Bald Look Steals Spotlight as ‘Golmaal 5’ Goes on Floors

The much-loved comedy franchise Golmaal is officially returning with its fifth installment, and the latest update has already created excitement among fans. Filmmaker Rohit Shetty has begun filming Golmaal 5, bringing back familiar faces while introducing a surprising new addition to the ensemble cast.
Leading the returning lineup is Ajay Devgn, who has been the central figure of the franchise since the first film released in 2006. Joining him this time is Akshay Kumar, marking his debut in the series. The actor appears in a completely new avatar, sporting a bald look that has already caught fans’ attention in early behind-the-scenes visuals.
The announcement was made through a playful video shared by the director on social media. The clip shows preparations on the film set before gradually revealing the cast members, giving audiences their first glimpse of the film’s production.
Another major highlight of the upcoming film is the return of Sharman Joshi, who originally played Laxman in the first Golmaal film. His comeback marks a nostalgic moment for longtime fans, as the actor rejoins the franchise nearly two decades after the original release.
The film is expected to feature several familiar members of the “Golmaal gang,” including Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, and Kunal Kemmu, continuing the ensemble-driven comedy that has defined the series over the years.
Reports also suggest that Akshay Kumar may play an antagonist in the film, setting up a humorous rivalry with Ajay Devgn’s character. This new dynamic is expected to bring fresh energy to the long-running comedy franchise.
Since its debut in 2006, the Golmaal series has grown into one of Bollywood’s most successful comedy franchises. With a mix of returning stars and unexpected casting choices, Golmaal 5 aims to revive the signature chaos and slapstick humour that audiences associate with Rohit Shetty’s filmmaking style.
