During a hearing in the Karnataka High Court, the actor’s legal team informed the court that he would submit an affidavit offering an apology and also visit Chamundi Hills, a significant religious site, as a gesture of remorse. This comes in response to a case filed against him over remarks linked to a divine character depicted in the film.

The controversy traces back to a performance at an award event, where Singh allegedly referred to ‘Chavundi Daiva’—a revered deity associated with coastal Karnataka traditions—as a “ghost.” The comment triggered backlash from sections of the public, who viewed it as disrespectful to deeply rooted cultural and religious beliefs.
