Actress Sangeeta Bijlani, whose home was robbed this year, shared that she is still recovering from the stress and trauma of the burglary. The actress spoke with the media at an event in Pune on Saturday, stating that she has requested a police officer look into the matter for a speedy investigation.

While talking to the media about the robbery at her house in Pavana, Sangeeta Bijlani said she specifically came to Pune to meet with SP Sandeep Singh Gill to ask him to “think faster” about the robbery. She further stated, “I do feel very unsafe as a woman living in my own home, which has been home for me for the last 20 years”.

The thieves stole a TV worth Rs 7,000 and Rs 50,000 cash from her bungalow located in the Pawanadharan area of the Pune district. The actress registered a case at the Lonavala Rural Police Station. Police had previously stated that the complainant is a private employee of Sangeeta Bijlani. According to the report, the house was vacant for approximately four months, and the actress discovered the theft on July 18. The robbers reportedly entered the premises from the rear side of the bungalow and stole a TV and cash kept on the first floor. As of now, no arrests have been made.

Sangeeta Bijlani debuted in the 1988 film ‘Qatil’ opposite Aditya Pancholi. She went on to star in films such as ‘Tridev’, ‘Hathyar’, ‘Jurm’, ‘Yodha’, ‘Yugandhar’, ‘Izzat’ and ‘Lakshman Rekha’. The actress’s last on-screen appearance was in the 1996 film ‘Nirbhay’, which was directed by Vinod Dewan. This film also featured Mithun Chakraborty, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Anupam Kher, Paresh Rawal, and Kiran Kumar.
